Cadence 5033 LAYOUT XL tool behaviour settings

Hello ALL

i have conculded a design in UMC .18 and want to start layout right away....since i am running really shot on time..

but the problem is the Layout XL tool does not respond to short cuts like Move for e.g.......i guess the UMC toolkit changed the keysettings.....

i am told that there is a way somehow to load a file or something inorder to set layout behaviour to so some defined settings ...like for instance AMS.35....

any information o the matter is much appreciated

go yo options in CIW

there is option called Blindkey

go in to that

select virtuso xl in application type prefix

then u press show blind keys

go through it

u will get all the shortcuts

but actually i got there after going throught the documentation...but i do not know how to set the keys.....

and do we choose Layout or Virtuouso XL.......

is there a was to import the tools behaviour "keybindings" from AMS.35 to UMC .18

if ur having license for xl use xl or else use layout

but basic blindkeys are same for both

i.e layout xl is backward compatible with layout

are AMS.35 and UMC.18 are process technologies..?

if yes then it has got nothing to do with keyblindings.

keyblindings depends upon the tool u r using

ok...i have reconsidered my problem and have decided to use the common bindkeys in the file IeBindKeys.il


but the problem is that i can't get it to be set as my default.....i tried using the function IeInitCommonBindKeys()...but it didn't work.....can u help in this
