Hello all,

I am interested in whether it is possible to generate electricity within the brain using two metal strips along with the electrolyte. Well, I am sure it is possible, but how much voltage would it produce? Does anyone have any ideas and can cite any reference that treats this topic.

Thanks,

It has the possibility but what's your purpose?

Brain has electrical activity which is always present and depends on different moods of a person. If a person is in a relaxed state then those electrical signals are different. If he is doing some mathematical calculations then the average power of those signals dies down.

Infact a very hot topic in research these days is Brain Computer Interfacing which aims at developing such systems in which a person can control devices by his intentions. For example moving a mouse cursor by imagination is a very useful application for dissabled persons who can't use computer. Voltage produced is in Microvolts by the brain and it is captured by very special electrodes which are of Silver Chloride or Gold.

Thank you very much, indeed! You finally found somthing usefull to do with our brain: Generate electrity! Did you watch to much Matrix, or what??
