Hi guys ,
I am a beginner to the world of microcontrollers. Can anyone help me with providing the steps to program a bootloader into PIC 18F4550 using JDM and WINPIC 800 programmer.Iwill be thankful to those who reply after testing the same.

The use of a bootloader is extremely useful in microcontroller programming .especially the pic 18F4550 can be programmed even with a laptop if it has a bootloader.A lot of people (including me) are searching a method to program a bootloader into this PIC .I am a student and has no budget to purchase a commercially available programmer.I knew that JDM programmer and Winpic can be used to program a
PIC 18F4550 from some previous posts. But I didnt get the correct procedure .Some told that there are some modifications to be made in the software settings to do the programming.I am eagerly waiting for their reply.
