Hi all,

Where can I find bootloader for 877a? How is uC connected to RS232 to burn the hex file? Can I use any RS232 terminal to burn the hex or there is some particular software?

TIA

Hi Jack// ani,

Look at website: www.bytefactory.com for page codeloader.html. The page has even source code for Bootloader available and published in C.

Hi all,

Thanks, Microchippc bootloader is excellent. I've a little doubt, it is written over there "Add an extra line in your program to reserve the top 255 bytes in memory for the bootloader." how to do this? I'm using CCS PIC C.

Thanks

Hello Jack// ani and the others.
Jack, why don't you use ICD2 clone for this?
Search the forum for "ICD2".
