bond-wire inductor

bond-wire inductors are off-chip inductors or on-chip inductors??
im designing a circuit with ADS and i use TSMC0.18um but i want to use bond-wire inductor but TSMC pdk hasnt bond-wire and just has spiral so what can i do?

bond-wire inductor

It is off-chip but in-package.

The details of the inductance and stray capacitive, mutual
inductance and resistance all depend on the package
and the assembly process (loop height, etc.) as well as your
bond figure.

You would have to work these out from fundamentals
or use a fancy EM solver once the layout and packaging
stuff is all figured out.

Meanwhile, figure on about 1nH/mm length self-inductance
as a placeholder. If you need less than 0.1nH or more
than 10nH, you are probably not going to be happy.

Re: bond-wire inductor

thanks for your reply
i have design a PA circuit in TSMC0.18um processes with ADS for my MSC degree.
in TSMC0.18um just spiral inductors exist but i heard bond-wire inductors having better Q and performance in circuit i have 1.6nH inductor but i dont know how i can use bond-wire inductors for my schematic circuit simulation

as a starting point, you could use the analogLib "ind" and add a small series resistance (between 0.25 and 0.6 ohm).
