Boardstation RE files are not opening in ExpeditionPCB

Hello All,

I am getting an error while opening the RE Board Station files in Expedition PCB where the pop up window says that ''This design was created by Board Station RE. Expedition PCB can not be invoked on an Board Station RE database''. Please write if anyone have resolved this issue at the earlier.

By default you cannot open RE designs in Expedition, but Mentor wouldn't be Mentor if there was no backdoor.


- Define the variable MGC_ALLOW_EXPPCB_ON_RE_DB with a value of 1.
- Restart your system and.. voila!

Be aware, this is not supported by Mentor, they claim it is only for test purposes.
Also be aware that Expedition is not fully downward compatible with RE.
