Blue tooth module hc-05 help

i hv HC-05 blue tooth module i power on the module just to test the module
but when i search this every time NO device detected from my mobile blue tooth
can i use the module with default setting
because i am not getting AT commands i want to interface it with ATMEGA32
ANY URGENT HELP??

To be able to see the modue on your mobile, the defaut settings are fine. In fact you do.t even need to connect the tx rx ins to a host. Just power it up, and it should be visible on the cell phone.

But I am not finding any HC 05 B.T device from my mobile, even though I have powered up my module in the way attached in the image. Leds on pin 32 & 31 are also connected but they are not blinking or glowing. I have also tried to send AT commands from HYPERTERMINAL while making pin 34(key) to high logic but AT commands are also not uploading serially.

You seem to have the bare 3.3 volts version of the module. Hope you didnt power it with 5 volts?

If the module is powered, EVEN WITH NOTHING CONNECTED TO TX/RX it should be visible on the mobile. If its not, chances are you have a damaged module.

Only when you can see it on your cell, and pair it, can you connect it to a host to send or receive data.

Incidentally, it expects the whole AT command to be sent VERY fast; usually not possible manually. So, its better to write your command in notepad, and then paste it into Hyperterminal.

Or use a terminal emulatore other than hyperterm, which requires a return to send a command.

UNFORTUNATLY I HAVE GIVEN 5v ON TX/RX PINS PUT MODULE DID NOT SMELL OR HEATUP

You DO have the single PCB (without backpane) PCB, right? That is 3.3 volts. Even the 5 volt versions actually need conditioning for TX/RX, its just the supply that is 5 volt compliant.

You fed 5 volts to the TX/RX; how about the supply? Was that also connected to 5? If so, chances are HIGH that you've damaged the module.

Try and get the 5 volt module (that comes mounted on a backplane) and has 4 or more pins soldered at 0.1" pitch for Vcc, gnd, Tx and Rx. They are much easier to use.

TX/RX pin is connected to TX/RX pinx of MAX232 so their is no direct supply to these PINS also getting fluctuations form 2.2v to 3.2v between VCC and ground
