My project is blood pressure monitor using PIC 16F877A. i wrote the code using MikroC compiler. i have written the code for ADC, LCD display and Cuff controlling. but i am struggling to determine the systolic and diastolic. please help me to write the algorithm for that.

Hello!

Think about what the doctor does when you visit him.
1. Pumping air until blood doesn't flow anymore (therefore the pressure wave disappears)
2. Releasing air, memorise when the blood pressure starts to show up.
3. Releasing more air, until the cushion is flat. At one point, the cushion pressure
does not interfere anymore with the blood flow, and the pressure wave disappears again.

That's it. Now happy coding!

Dora.
