Hello

I bought a BISMS02BI Bluetooth module from LairdTech

**broken link removed**

But I can't integrate it to a microcontroller

I emailed the support but they didn't reply

I need to know wether these modules support serial uart interface or not ?

thanks

Yes, the BISMS02BI Bluetooth Module does have a UART.

Você fala português?

Sim

If not you can always have the project report detailing the interfacing of BISMS02BI Bluetooth Module translated online.

Bluetooth interfacing tutorial, so doesn't cover your module, but has plenty of examples:

LairdTech purchased Ezurio the original manufactures of the module:

Hope the links help you.

thanks for replying

the module name is (TRBLU-024-00100)

**broken link removed**

which doesn't support UART

it supports only HCI over USB

any idea how to make a good use of it?! because I can't figure out how to run it

Is this a USB dongle or internal integrated module for a PC, Laptop or similar application?

The problem is you would need to provide a HCI USB Stack on the MCU, which is definitely a nontrivial endeavor.

What family of MCUs were you considering?

If you had an embedded processor board capable of running Embedded Linux, Embedded Windows or Windows CE, this would most likely be the least painful route.

Here's a link discussing the implementation of HCI over USB via PIC24 or PIC32, if you are set on using a MCU you will have to use a higher end device:

How to control a Bluetooth USB dongle by PIC24FJ64G002 on HCI protocol layer

Thanks very much for the link

here is the full detail about the module

and I am not considering any microcontroller specifically

I just want the module to work anyhow!
