Beginner in Audio codec

i m very Beginner to learn Audio codec..
will u all plz tell me where to start?? any intoductory book.. link,presentation etc. based on audio codecs??

for this you have to know the chip data sheet so for that goto www.frontline-electronics.com

see the dsp board specification in that the codec chip no is give , after that find the data sheet of it study it .
