Hi all,

I am working on project and trying to combine Capon receiver with V-blast scheme. In my simulation, the weight vector is a complex vector (its elements) and at that point i get confused.

My aim is maximizing the SNR and finding the weight vector coressponding to that. However, when the weight vector is complex it results in a complex SNR value if im not doing wrong and i get stuck here.

Can anyone help me? Please do not hesitate to share any comments.

Thanks,
ILhami

Its Ok my dear. Because your signal is complex. Also the steering vector is complex. So you got the complex weight vector.

max SNR means your weight vector = constant x desired steering vector for each noise power. If it is so then you are going in right direction.
