Hi everyone,

I want to produce a new beam switching high gain antenna array that is able to direct its main beam towards predetermined locations. I aim to use PIN diodes to control antenna segments or feeding networks to enable beam switching. I am also using CST to simulate the patch antenna. Two questions.....

1) Does anyone know how to simulate pin diodes in cst?
2) Can anyone offer any relevant advice that may help?

Kind Regards

You can do an approximation by using opens and shorts where the diodes are.

Thanks. Will try that. Is it in CST microwave studio, design studio or microstripes?? Thanks.
