can anyone tell me about the basics of Network on Chip (NoC) and the current trends in it... thanks for any help

Please look at this tutorial.

I know there are several research chips such as RAW and TeraFlops and commercial chips such as Adaptiva that uses NoC for the communications architecture.

Thanks

Hairo, thanks for sharing. This looks like a good presentation.

Thanks

Also, you can learn about how NoC interconnects are implemented in commercial SoCs like mobile phone and tablet application processors and modems at **broken link removed**

Here is a link to a very good paper on how to configure a NoC interconnect (It's from a Springer-Verlag textbook): http://info.arteris.com/download-application-driven-network-on-chip-architecture-exploration--refinement-for-a-complex-soc-/?utm_campaign=Springer-Article&utm_source=Website%20-%20other%20pages

I hope this helps!
