Here are the questions to understand...

Explanation IV char..
temp dependence on VI char...
junction capacitance..break down voltage and its application
types of diodes and its applications(multiplier..)
make transistor from two diodes...
material use in making it
area cover by the LED,IR etc...(may be asked)

here are some questions...

1. what is equivalent circuit of idal diode and practical diode.
2.difference b/w silicon and ge diode...
3. ofcourse which is best suitable for industrial applications..
4. by what amount the ICO increases with temperature..
5. practically can u prepare a transistor from 2 diodes.
6. capacitance s present in diode...

i think...these are enough..

Additional:
- Can we use 1N4001-4007 series in pulse or high frequency circuits?
- Why sometimes people makes diode from transistor by shorting E-B pins, not uses the diode itself?
- In the circuit, we can see the diode with DUN letters beside symbol, what does it mean?
- can we use a diode as a low voltage reference?

By the way, can anybody explain the sympton the diode is dead (shortcircuited) when working at the frequency higher than its specs?
