what is predistortion?

predistortion?

Predistorsion is...

....a technique to linearize.

Basically,

if you know the distortion characteristic of your circuit you can pre-distort the input signal in order to have a cumulative linear transfer funtion.
It works fine evenwith quite non-linear circuits and the pre-distortion can be made in digital domain ....

Hi,

and how for a pow amp?

Well, just use the convenient filter in the low-power part of the system.

But if the signal is some kind of phase modulation there are much easier
ways of "linearising" the system. For example, amplifying the signta until
saturating the amplifier and filter the harmonics.

predistortion

predistortion is one of the best methods for linearizing a power amplifier and include baseband predistortion and RF predistortion.
if you need any document about this please pm me.

see the following file

the following file discribes the various types of PA linearization.

A lot of people work in this field. Linearization method is complex.

Hi,

im doing a final year project on predistortion of satellite communications,

i was just wondering, any resources you guys would recommend for me?

are any of you guys in this field yourself?

thanks,

zhuge
