Basic information about programming MSP430

hi,i want to use MCU's for autonomous robotics.
Now i use AVR for this purpose.
Bt they r unavailable and tooooooo costly.
And i found MSP430 r low cost and highly efficient.
So,plz hlp me the below topics.
1.Which MSP430 chip has 1 ADC,2 PWM,2 I/O PORT.
2.What is the C compiler for it & how t get it?
3.demo Programme.
4.ISP programmer??
5.UART bootloder available??
6.extra tips??

Hi pal,
I used IAR as IDE to program MSP430, you can download the same from ti website its freeware. Use FET(Field Emulation Tool) to program the controller from USB through JTAG.you can better buy it by ordering in the ti website itself.

hi,i want ti know that is "IAR" is easy as "AVR studio ,winAVR"??
bcoz i never use IAR before.

If you're proficient in C it shouldn't bother you.

BTW, IAR is equally good.
