bandpass ifft technique

I am writting a MATLAB code for finding permittivity of multilayered profile structure. I am using wavenumber-distance fourier transform method using MATLAB ifft function which works fine for a continuous frequncy range ie 0-10 GHz. but as soon as the frequency range is changed to some other for eg 5-10 GHz the results of ifft function become wrong. please suggest how to correct it.
