AVR Studio not identifying device signature

Hello All,

Since recently I have been unable to program my MCU in AVR Studio 5 or 6 because they are surprisingly not recognizing the device signature of my MCU, I get this message:

"Unable to enter programming mode.

Please verify device selection, interface settings, target power and connections to the target device."

Can anyone help me solve this problem please?
