Dear all,

what is the most power efficient way to choose between two power sources?
To be more precise, I have a solar panel with a 12vdc output and a 12vdc charger, two sources to charge a 12v battery, and want to be able to automatically select the solar panel as main source even if the charger is on, if solar panel is off(at night) then the charger will connect to battery .

Thanks a lot!

You need solar regulator device/circuit.

I hope you made electricity price calc. If you using mains charger you should check whole system profitability, except in the case of free mains power.
