Hi all,
I'm currently designing a Vcsel driver that has an Automatic Power Control (APC). I am refering the journal "An Integrated Direct-Coupled 10-Gb/s Driver
for Common-Cathode VCSELs", A.A. Ciubotaru. The journal and APC diagram is shown in the attachment.
I have few questions and hope someone can help me:
1. How to determine the transfer function btw the Vcsel and photodiode Monitor?
2. How to simulate the E-O and O-E i.e. Vcsel and photodiode Monitor?
3. What is the critical issue in designing APC circuit?
Any input are all welcome.
