audio agc circuit

Does anyone has a simple yet effective AGC for MIC amplification before the signal goes to the codec?

I don't want the signal to saturate, but amplify about 30-40dB if possible for weak signals.

thanks

You can use the SSM2165, SSM2166 or SSM2167 Microphone Preamplifier with Variable Compression and Noise Gating from Analog Devices.

you may check the INA163 datasheet form BurrBrown/TI. The datasheet
contains some mic examples, but no AGC.

There is no compressor function in the circuit you linked to Hishamsaleh.
