hi everyone. i am using TDA7388A audio amplifier to run 4 speakers each having 4 OHMS impedance. my supply rail is of 16V max. can u suggest how to calculate the power descipation in audio amplifier.
thanks in advance.

You are interested in power dissipation in the amplifier, so if you measure the current drawn from the power supply one can calculate power as V * I.

You can refer to Figure 10 in the datasheet, scaling the numbers with (16/13.2)², resulting in nearly 55 W maximum power dissipation with sine signals. The typical power dissipation playing music will be considerably lower according to the magnitude statistics.
