The AT90PWM3 and the revised AT90PWM3B are essential an AVR ATmega class device with an enhanced PWM peripheral module.

Are you attempting to utilize the enhanced PWM peripheral module in your design?

If not, select an ATmega device which offers similar resources besides the enhanced PWM peripheral module.

If you do require the enhanced PWM peripheral module, one possible option is to use the register level simulators of AVR Studio and the newer Atmel Studio.

Documentation and example code for use of the enhanced PWM peripheral module are available on the AT90PWM3 product page under the documentation tab:

AT90PWM3 Product Page - Document Section

Example:

AVR434: PSC Cookbook
