AT89C51 baud rate...????

hi i am using a 12 MHz crystal with AT89C51 and want to send and receive data from serial port will it be compatible with PC's com port..?
if no then plzzz how to make it compatible..??

Please find encosed schematic diagram in which com port is connected with 89c51. You should use 11.0592 crystel for this.

With 12mhz you wont get accurate value of 9600, or 4800. it will change .
what is the problem, r u not able to receive the data

use 11.09592 Mhz crystal to get exact baud rate which is compatible with PC's com port eg 4800, 9600
