AT command to the cell phone

Hi sir im begginer in AT command for cell phone. Thus im asking how to use the AT command to the cell phone for telling me there is SMS message and what the SMS message. I need it for my project "Control the home devices suing cell phone". And can i use the computer "e.g LAPTOP" to program the microcontroller.

Hi, Concerning the AT commands u must use a cell phone that support them and i recommend u siemens phone as u can communicate with their modems easily.

Download and AT commands set and there are a set of commands that deal with sms service.

Of course you can use the pc or laptop for programming ur microcontroller depends on type of the microcontroller programmer connection USB, Serial or parallel
