my OS is linux8.0
display card chip is inter@82852/855 GM.
I checked this BBS and follow others advice. for example, edit the XF86Config file
and so on. useless. I need new driver? or edit config file?

Help me.

Thanks.

try to change your display to 1024x768 or 800x600.

just change to 8 bit mode

I change to 8 bit color. it works. But i am no happy for the picture.
I want to use 24 bit color. And to install new display driver.
How to do this?
Thanks

You need a new driver to support 24bit colour mode. What's the driver for your display? If the driver of your display card is not listed in the driver list, you can't run in 24bit colour mode. Linux will assume the display driver as VESA if it can't find the driver for the display card. VESA only support up to 16bit colour mode.
