ask 4 help about divid in vhdl

i want a simple program in vhdl about divid n number without using (div ) instruction
i want that with shift add instruction please

What are your data types and bit widths?
I found this example for a 4 bit divider https://www.cs.umbc.edu/portal/help/VHDL/samples/samples.html#div4
Hope you find it useful.
But why not to use a built0in function in VHDL to do the division?!

about that example it is more difficult if you read the book about architecture for moris mano there is in chapter 8 alforithem for it and it is simple but i couldn't program it
