Hello. I don't know programing Vbasic and
I need send and recived ASCII caracters from Excel to serial port and viceversa.
Somebody know a aplication for do it?

Thanks :wink:

Why Not Using HyperTerminal?
It can send ASCII files and capture to file also...

I have used rsapi.dll (try to search in google) for controlling a measurement device.
I also have heard about a port.dll

RS232 & Excel

Hello,

My suggestion: Write a small client for driving ComX and use Excel as Automation Server in this constellation.
With this concept you can handle the various Properties (Bd, x,x,x,x,) for the ComX.
For a closer look -> Inside Visual C++ 6.00 (Kruglinski) Chapter 28.
You'll find there some Hits, but with regards, the example contains at the Server Interface some Traps.
