how to store data in flash

I have a 2.1MB data array arm[] = { 0x38df,0x38df,0x38df........ } and want to store in SPI flash memory via universal programmer . I know that it is needed to convert to hex code , I have a software called Hexworkshop . I have two questions :

1) Am I necessary to remove all the "0x" , " , " , " { " , " }" and " arm [] = " ?
2) Is it correct to split the data into char , that is , 0x38 , 0xdf , 0x38 , 0xdf ???
