Do you agree with the following “rules” (A to D) on the checking of type 2 compensator pole and zero positions?
This is with regard to a CCM, Current mode flyback with a type 2 feedback compensation network..That is, making sure it is not going to be unstable..
[A]…The Type 2 compensator zero MUST BE at (or very near) the same frequency as the Load pole of the flyback?
{..the load pole of the flyback (wp1) = {[vin – 2vout] / [vin-vout]} *1/(R.C)
…where R = load resistance, C = output cap}
..The Type 2 compensator zero MUST NEVER BE very far above the flyback load pole frequency?
[C]…The Type 2 compensator pole (not the origin pole, but the higher frequency pole) MUST BE at or lower than the frequency of either the RHPZ or the ESR zero, whichever is lowest in frequency?
[D]…The Type 2 compensator pole (not the origin pole, but the higher frequency pole) MUST NOT BE at a frequency above that of the RHPZ or the ESR zero.?

Also, does the following simple method absolutely guarantee stability in a current mode, CCM flyback converter?...
If I have a CCM, current mode flyback, and I do feedback compensation with a type 2 network, then I will ALWAYS ACHIEVE STABILITY if I do the following?…..
(apologies for capitals, but this could be breakthrough stuff)
A…..Put the type 2 compensator zero at the flyback load pole frequency. (the load pole is the pole concerning the output cap and the load resistance)
B….Put the high frequency pole of the type 2 compensator at or lower than the frequency of either the RHPZ, or the ESR zero, which ever is lowest in frequency.
