i am trying to control a motor which has a control signal of =/-5V. Is it possible to generate this range using a DAC0808. Any ideas what the Vee and Vref both +/- has to be for this application.

Will the output be within +/-5V range or has to be amplified using an op-amp?

Thanks a ton!

Hello!

What do you mean by "=/-5V"?
Is it a negative voltage? Is it an analog signal that controls an amp that feeds the motor?
A schematic would certainly help to understand.
