Anyone used to configure this TLC5540INS adc? help me pls

before apply it to my digital ocilloscope project, i just construct it according to the datasheet to show the output in LED. But i failed to do it. The 8 pieces of LED light keep alternating only..what is the problem? If my max input is 2.28v, and when i supply to this adc, it supposed to display 11111111. but....
 

Hi shteo83!

Please put up the schematic to give us a better idea!
Check clk input, reference voltage, and ensure output enable oe\ is low.
