Anyone familiar with LF398N S/H ic? ===>ADC0804

I going to connect the sample and hold circuit to my ADC0804. The S/H IC i using is LF398N. Anyone know how to contruct this LF3989N to ADC080? I was tested this LF398N according to the datasheet but what i get the output was reduce anout 1V. For example i supply ac inout signal 5Vpp..after pass thorugh LF398N, become 4V. This is the fact or something wrong? Any simple construct can make to obtain the exactly output?
