Anybody knows how to use timer0 in PIC 16f84?

Hi! I am new at this site my friends to told me that this site help them alot in terms of projects.

Our class has been dealing with PIC16f84. I am to make digital clock out of pic16f84 and be displayed on an 5x7 LED Dot Matrix. I have the schematic but then I don't know how to use timer0 of pic 16f84a.

Can u pls help me...... PLeeaaase...
