Digital Signal Processing with FPGA is a good book for implementing DSP functions using FPGA.

Hi speedoak,

Will add only that the new matlab 7 filter desinge GUI provide verilog/VHDL code export directly from matlab.
The Modelsim cosimulation is also included.

They call it 'Filter Design HDL Coder 1'

For more info :https://www.mathworks.com/products/filterhdl/

and for multimedia demo :
in **broken link removed**
click over 'HDL Generation of Digital Filters (9 min, 19 sec)'

regards
dora
