in the 4th chapter , sec 4.4 it is being explained that the diode connected loads consume voltage headroom ,thus they improvise it by adding current sources in parallel n increasing the gain,,
why do we need to go for this where in u could replace the diode connected load with the current source one ,which with out any parallel loads provides large gain,,
i don understand what is the significance of Fig 4.33
 

yes ,u can but in ur case u will need a CMFB circuit

do you pay attention to the linearity of the voltage gain of the amplifier?
diode connected structure can improve the linearity at the cost of voltage gain.
analog circuit always exist tradeoff.
