Any graduation project suggestions?

We are now,me and my group, are facing hard time looking for new ideas for a graduation project
Well LTE was mentioned but lets say refused for lack of resources,so all we got to deal with is the genius wImax,but before proceeding,they asked me if there are any good ideas out there?
We need something genius enough to astonish our professors.
I know we seem picky,but do you guys think there's any project that would deal with layers within datalink to network layers?

You can implement the MAC layer of the WiMAX, but to do that you have to have a simple model of PHY layer of WiMAX to apply the scheduling of resources and the adaptive modulation and coding.
