any good microcontroller with lots of flash/ram inside?

128k flash memory italian microcontroller

If you want a small uC I think that a good selection could be the Texas MSP430 (good in cost and in consumption), but if you want a powerfull uC with internal Flash&Ram I recomend you the Atmel ARM7 series with internal flash up to 2MB and internal RAM up to 256KB.

something like 256K/32K? need a little controller that has everything to save space. prefer more than 16bit data bus. 8 bit is ok too. 32bit is a over kill for me.

If you look at this Atmel AVR roadmap you can see that that Atmel is going to release an AVR Atmega256 with 256k flash, 11k RAM and 4k EEPROM: www.elektroda.pl/eboard/viewtopic.php?t=49777

ATmega256 spec.:
Flash: 256k
EEPROM: 4k
RAM: 11k
ADC: 8x10bit
Serial I/Os: 3xUSART, 2xSPI, TWI
Timer: 2x8, 4x16bit
I/Os: 53 / 68
Pins: 64 / 80

microcontroller flash vs ram

toshiba tmp95fy64
16 bit
256k flash
8k ram
3 serial
micro dma
external bus
8 adc
2 dac
....

developement system: about €150 and you have
ansi C compiler
assembler
In circuit debugger source level
programmer

I'm using it for quite complex design and I think it is good.

Any of the big processors with USB built in?

avr32 256k ram

Hi all,

Look for this: HMS30C7202 from Hynix
**broken link removed**

Price is betwen 25 euro to 30 euro

Of course we need to buy more flash and sdram to run Linux, but with this we can have a low cost terminal.

renesas m32r flash write sample

Hi

Actually what you have posted in "256K/32K 16 bits " is what the Mitsubishi (now Renes.) offer in their M32C mcu . Ther are couple of ADC DAC up to 5 UARTs , and if I am not wrong it works in different modes mcu , microprocessor , different memory models , support some kind of external SRAM up to few MBytes . The drawback is that s it is not visible whether Renesas will use the same CISC architecture in future . The M32R is RISC based .
My friend got it for 25 $ per 1 sample . But this could be twice less .

microcontroller with 512kb ram

I recommend H8s too (>128kflash and >16k sram)

I used it no long before. The Key: the compiler and debuger and Emulator work well !

512 kb eeprom inside a microcontroller

Try Fujitsu microcontroller.
MB90F553
128K Flash, 4K RAM
if you need more RAM you can add extern RAM till 16Mbyte.

avr32 256k internal ram

Hi all,

I think that we must speak allways in the cost/functionality terms, si we should always refer the price. Otherwise, best uC are Pentium, etc...!!
