Any Free Screen capture tool for Linux

I need to capture the schematic from Mentor Design Architecture and export it as jpeg format for MS Word documentation. Are there other alternative?
Also, anyone know how to convert Framemaker *.mif file to jpeg format ? :)
 

Using Xwin32 login your linux server and capture the figure. Xwin32 has the capability to capture windows and desktop.
 

You can use GIMP to aquire screen captures.
You can play with images with this tool.

I think the xwd command is ok
 

You can print the circuit to a ps file and then convert it. It looks better.
