algor thermal analysis -algorithm

I would like to analyze the surface temperature of a package.

Kindly help tell is any thermal analysis software that could be easily understood and used.

Thanks a lot

thermal analysis software

I use CFDesign from Blue ridge, IMO it both easily understood & used - but... you need a 3D interface such as solidworks ect. to create/manipulate the geometry.

So there is not any one stop solution?

Flotherm by Flomerics is a fully integrated package & so is Icepak from Ansys, I've used both but they are not as intuitive as CFDesign

There are plenty of easy to use fully integrated software. You really should consider price vs performance and utlity of the software. I would recommend Autodesk Algor analysis software. If you have not purchased it yet, let me know. I can give you pluses and minuses of many packages.

It would really help, and will be appreciated, if you could provide a comparative summary for thermal simulation software tools...

Can anybody help me,
I would like to learn the tool Flotherm by Flomerics.
I couldn't find out any demo or evaluation tool in Mentor Graphics website.

so, what is the best way to learn the basics, without buying a licensed one.

Thanks,
