[SOLVED] Answering machine schematics ..

Hello,

Does anybody have information about how to design an answering machine using a microcontroller ( a PIC for exemple :smile: and a voice recording chip? ... i know those machines are not so expensive .. but i'm an engineer so i want to build one! ..

any article, hint or design will be gratefully ...

It does not make sense to build one ! It will cost much more than buying one ready made but if you insist :smile: Take a look at atmel application note for a serial dataflash recorder and also look at ISD for solid state analog recorders. Cermetek have some phone line monitoring chips.
