Ansoft Designer 2 is twice as slow as Designer 1, why ?

hi

I simulated a microstrip antenna with ansoft designer v1 and v2.


the simulation time and the memory used are doubler with designer v2.

Why?

I haven't used v2. However, this may help:

In v1 the solver that is used affects the solving time and memory.
The solver selection settings are the same in both cases? In v1 you can configure this.

Also check the mesh. Are the number of unknowns the same?

I don't think I am having the same problem. I guess it might be something in your design. Are you sure you have the same parameters?

check ur design for any discontunity as it mught increase the mesh size n slow down the simulation
