when annotating switching activity to a design in DC and then reporting power I realized that both daynamic power and leakage power changed the question is why leakage power changed as i know leakage power is fixed for the cell and its value is in the library so why did it change after annotating switching activity

Hi,

I think it is static power....Static power has two components leakage power and Short Circuit power (due to a point both PMOS and NMOS are active). May be DC is adding this component to static power while calculating..

Esh..
