i think you can download his phd thesis from berkeley website, and they are almost same.

I would like to take a look at this book as well.

I'm not sure how similar his book is from his PhD thesis.
the thesis is 99pages, whereas the book is 400pages long!

He is a professor at UT Dallas. You can go through his slides...most likely the book will have same coverage of contents....
