I am using an AMC7820 IC for a laser application. In the datasheet, page 6,under timing characteristics it says that the maximum rise time of the clock signal is 30ns?

So i want to know what happens if i give more than that...for example say 100ns or 400ns?will these rise times damage the IC?

Hi,

Usally not, but proper function is not guaranteed. Maybe the IC detects multiple clock edges instead of a single one.

Hope this helps
