Does anyone know if Altium Designer can take advantage of an Intel dual or quad core processor?

Sure it can. As long as any software uses multiple threads it will be scheduled on different cores.

Ya I actually ended up upgrading anyway and realized that it does utilize all cores.
 

My Altium Designer 9 is working just with one core !
how can I doubl it ?
