Altera , Xilinx doubt

hi all


pls help me out in this 1, i am a total naive in FPGA

I need to replace Xilinx XC2S100

with one of the following ICs

EP1C4F400C6

EP2C35F672C6

from altera, which 1 of them can i use

Simplest answer :

Refer to the device datasheet from Xilinx and Altera for those devices and you can get the idea to choose .

depends how match logic you need. select option to enble auto device select in quartus software
 

XC2S100 comes 3 packages

144-TQFP

208-PQFP

256-FBGA

456-FBGA

what is the package u have in ur existing design
 
we were using the TQFP package
 

ru sure about the altera part numbers

EP1C4F400C6 -400 FBGA

EP2C35F672C6 -672 FBGA

if ur not changing the hdl code, then i think u cud go for a lower version
 
u can try
