alliance cad - installation in ubuntu 9.04

alliance cad help needed

Hello everyone
I need to install alliance cad in ubuntu 9.04 linux .. is it possible if so please give me some documentation for the same as i am new to installing in linux

why not try to install redhat , it very simple for the new beginner!
 

planning to use it in karmic..


i think it can be done by downloading the tar.gz file & then sourcing the alc_env.sh with the new "path" where alliance is located on your system.

steps : 1 .dnld tar.gz file
2. edit the alc_env.sh file & change the path to the new one.
3.source the alc_env.sh
4. unset LD_LIBRARY_PATH
5. try if alliance is installed by using any one of the processes (vasy, asimut etc.. )

i think it should work!
