I am trying to automate fully the tires opening and closing for different plane motions. Plane at rest on ground, Plane in motion on ground preparing for take off, Plane in Sky after take off, Plane again on ground after landing.

I feel the Transition from Plane in Sky to Land is difficult to automate. i e Tires closed to Tires opening for landing automatically.

Plane at rest on ground, Plane in motion on ground will require the Tires to open and work while the Plane in Sky the tires do not be required to be open so they are in closed position.
Tires open - UnLocked action, Tires closed - Locked action.

Your views, opinion regarding the same.

Thanks.

Automating the function of the landing gear could be a difficult task. So as a critical task for landing, the current manual human intervention process.

Can Automating the function of the landing gear classify as a Machine learning or Artificial Intelligence technologies business use case in Aviation industry?

The program shall receive input from numerous sensors. Its decision-making algorithm no doubt contains a great many IF...THEN trees. Its algorithm might be built by one or both methods below:

a) Build its own decision-making tree, by running internal simulations of all permutations of situations and incidents. Give it priority instructions. Example, avoid gear up when on the ground. Lower gear when on approach. Etc.

A program that can do the above needs to be very sophisticated.

Or...
b) Let the program observe a human in all situations when he raises and lowers gear.. After a while the program becomes trained to do the same thing in the same circumstance. This process takes many flights many flights and (probably) a long time, although the learning program needn't be that sophisticated.

Thanks.

Can you also give your views regarding rubber sensors technologies specific to tires in this use case?. Can this be applied in this use case scenario?

Obviously it's a complex topic you've raised, touching on a number of areas. The aviation industry has a few automated landing gear systems available. I suppose pilots can choose to use such assists at their discretion, or choose not to. After all, greater complexity means more things to go wrong.

Thank you.

Can we program with the following conditions for automation?.
Plane at rest on ground, Plane in motion on ground preparing for take off - Gear unlocked position. Plane in Sky after take off - Gear locked, Plane again on ground just before landing (The pilot knows the altitude when the plane has to descent for landing) - Gear Unlocked.Plane at rest on ground, Plane in motion on ground will require the Tires to open and work while the Plane in Sky the tires do not be required to be open so they are in closed position. Tires open - UnLocked action, Tires closed - Locked action.
Can this be the computer program with decision making logic to automate the Gear locking / unlocking positions. This is achieved using fixing sensor/s to the Front Nose and Rear Tyres. Your views, opinion regarding implementation of this program logic and the rubber sensor technology?

I imagine a pilot decides using a similar thought process. And he watches indicator lights telling him gear is up or down.

It's useful to make a flowchart in the early stage of writing a program. Of course the theoretical aspect is one thing. There's a lot of additional work ahead hooking up sensors and motors and gears and switches and power supplies. Such a system is in the area of robotics and automation.

I can't help regarding rubber sensor technology.
