Advantages of sampling oscilloscopes

Hi to all
i need atleast seven to eight advantages of sampling oscilloscope.If anybody helps me i will be happy.Thanks.

The biggest advantage is that you can memorize a signal. Something that can't be done with analog oscilloscope.

For example, imagine that you have an irregular signal, then you can have a trigger, and memoryse the piece of signal at that instent. With a regular scope, you need to repeat this many times per seconds to get a constant curve on screen. Moreover, if the signal is not consistent, an analog scope will not be able to display usefull result.

Another advantage is that you can see data before trigger. With an analog scope, when a trigger occur (raising edge of a signal for example), then the scope bring the CRT beam back to the left and start displaying the waveform. So there is a bit of that wave lost 'on the left of the screen'. With digital scope, the signal is constantly sampled, and sent to a FIFO buffer/memory. So when a trigger occur, the scope can re-call a bit of the signal prior to the trigger. So, for example, if you trigger on a signal raising edge (low to high), with an analog scope, you'll see, on the left of the display, your signal almost at high level. With digital scope, you'll see the signal starting at low level, and the full rising slope.
